Raw Food For Today offers reviews on great raw/vegan/vegetarian restaurants that you should try.

One that we would highly recommend is called Organixx, in Downtown Denver (LoDo)! Heathly, Fresh, Organic, with a great atmosphere!

They serve breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner!
The Quinoa Nicoise Salad is awesome and if you are vegan you can order it without the hard boiled egg.

Raw food for Today can also help at the grocery store. There are certain items that you should always have on hand if you tend to eat a raw food diet.

Raw Food should be simple not daunting. Please let us help you succeed with your health!

Here is a list of groceries you should keep on hand

  • Garlic (this is one of my favorites and its one of the oldest cultivated foods)
  • Onions Onions Onions
  • Shallots
  • Chives
  • Elephant
  • GarlicLeeks
  • Bok Choy
  • Broccoli
  • Broccoli Rabe
  • Broccolini
  • Kale
  • Mustard Greens
  • Tat Soi (one of my favorite when they are little and sprouted; although you can eat anything small and sprouted like broccoli, sunflower, alfalfa)
  • Cucumbers (these are great to slice and take on the road; simple and nutritious. The best ones are the lemon cucumbers)
  • Carrots
  • Any type of lettuce for all salads (or if you are like me you put spinach or lettuce in your smoothies)
  • Squash
  • Zucchini
  • Yellow squash
  • Green Beans
  • Peas (especially the sugar snap peas. You don’t even need to cut them just throw them in a container and out the door you go)
  • Tomatoes (there are so many great varietals that you can choose from)
  • Any types of Fruits that you like should always be on hand so that you can just grab and go!

There are so many vegetables and fruits out there that you can make wonderfully nutritious raw meals out of.

Try to experiment with new veggies and fruits that you haven’t tried before. I bet you will come up with awesome new recipes for yourself.
